We have tutoring (one-on-one) at 2 schools during the day by adult tutors and one after-school program with by teens. We help create and maintain and sustain school libraries. We have book giveaways at all 5 partner schools 2 times a year. We provide school supply kits to all K, 1, 2 classes at Santa Fe School. We provide author visits and books at each school. We attend Health Fairs and other events at the school. We organize food drives at the winter break, have helped set up weekly food delivery by the Alameda County Food Bank, and do an Adopt a Family project (52 families, 142 kids served at one school this past December). We have provided art supplies, sports supplies, new games and classroom sets of books. We have also participated in Read Aloud Days, Dictionary Day, attend school assemblies and graduations and provide end of the year parties for all of our tutors and children who have been tutored. We bring in local OPL librarians for these events as well.  Some tutors work in the classroom and we have a couple who do storytelling in the classrooms each week. We also have volunteers who tutor math, do art classes and music classes.
