OLC Volunteer Opportunities at Brookfield, Cox and Reach Elementary Schools
Organization: Super Stars Literacy –After-school early literacy and social-emotional development programming for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in low-income communities. Super Stars Literacy’s mission is to give every child the foundation for lifelong learning and achievement.
Volunteer Position Description: Super Stars Literacy Classroom Volunteer
· Tutor K-2nd grade students
· Facilitate small group activities or one-on-one instruction during the program as needed
· Support instructors during the after school program
Requirements & Training
· Orientation
· Volunteer Training
· TB Test
· LiveScan Finger Printing
Program Hours & Volunteer Commitment
Weekdays, 3-5 PM
(1-5 PM on Wednesdays)
As little as one hour per week for a minimum of 10 weeks

Organization: Reading Partners – An educational non-profit dedicated to empowering students through literacy and investing community members in underserved public schools. Reading Partners recruits and trains community volunteers to provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary school students reading below grade level.

· One-on-one tutoring with elementary school students reading below grade level
· Use an easy-to-follow curriculum for tutoring
